Ilfracombe Devon UK|
1980 Westerly Konsort, KT157, bilge keel version; a nicely presented, well equipped, regularly updated and carefully maintained example which comes with full history. She was delivered to us brand new direct from Westerly’s factory, but now we feel it is time to let her go with so many happy memories of our time with her. She’s in ‘turn key’ order, capable of providing safe, reliable and enjoyable sailing. All the lines are led back to the cockpit making her ideal for anyone sailing short-handed. The wide side decks and large foredeck plus deep cockpit give a great sense of security. She’s light and responsive on the helm and can provide powerful sailing in a breeze. Very manoeuvrable in a crowded anchorage. Her twin keels make her ideal for all sorts of cruising and mooring locations.
In harbour she boasts very spacious accommodation given her 29 ft overall length. She sleeps 6, with full headroom, a separate heads compartment, a cooker and folding saloon table. There’s ample stowage throughout the yacht.
She has a very reliable Beta 28hp Diesel engine, good sails and canvas work, a full electronics package including a powered anchor winch, a replacement lpg cooker, and nice condition woodwork and headlining. Hot water is provided from an engine calorifier. Notably she sports her original polished white gel coat, and has been kept on a drying mooring during the season while coming ashore every autumn for annual maintenance.
If you’re looking for a 29 ft yacht with bilge keels, lots of space and modern lines with a proven sailing performance, then she could be for you!
She’s currently ashore and available for viewing. Lying at Ilfracombe, North Devon, Bristol Channel.
