Pin Rolland. St Mandrier sur Mer Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur France|
I’ve owned this lovely little Westerly since 2014. I sailed her solo down the UK coast and through the French canals to where she is now in the South of France. She has been on the hard since 2016, as I used her as a base to holiday there.
The boat was left to dry out for one year, then epoxied countless times with west system. She has since had much new equipment to upgrade her. I originally bought three Cirrus’ and her larger sister the ‘Tiger’ to set up a language school, with sailing, in Eastern Europe but circumstances dictated otherwise.
The boat is an excellent canal, river and coastal cruiser for two persons. The interior is largely original with new headlining in the fore cabin with slight modification for electrics.
This is a tough, well made, very clean, UK boat with classic lines that does not cost an arm or a leg to keep. I would meet any potential buyer in France. She has all original documentation and is SSR registered.

Two in the fore cabin, one (2?)on the folding down saloon table and one under the port side stern. At the most two adults and maybe two kids. But, there’s plenty of headroom and adequate space for people who get on with each other.
Originally constructed to LLoyds of London building specifications (original certificate with boat), these boats were built to very high standards and it shows to this day. Properly looked after and they should last forever.
Hull materiel is fibreglass very thickly laid up. The keel is cast iron, not encased, so needs paint protection every few years.
New Selden 50s roller reefing, unused but mounted 4 years ago. All new screw and bolts for deck fittings, organisers etc. German quality. Radio brand new and is being installed with Fusion speakers. Electrics all renewed with quality switchboard. One 60 amp battery with Solara solar panel mounted on the stern. LED lighting inside the cabin for low consumption.
GPSMAP 500 series chart plotter, NASA target depth sounder. Both work very well. Tri-colour nav and anchor light at top of mast LED. Side lights on cabin for when underway with engine.
Mariner 6hp, long shaft with original Westerly fitted engine slide mounting. Unsure of how many hours. Recently serviced.
Sails bought new from Crusader Sails, Poole, full sized Genoa and battened main with two reefing lines.
100% unused and cost over a 1000 pounds.
